The purpose of the stakeholder consultations is to draw on the experience of globally connected Canadians as well as businesses with international interests and organizations and individuals working in the area of diversity and pluralism. We will focus on cities that are considered to be large economic hubs with substantial immigrant populations and international connections; specifically, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary, and Halifax. Given the prominent presence of Canadian professionals abroad, the project will also hold roundtables in Silicon Valley and London, to identify ways in which transnational Canadians contribute to Canada's development.
